Emergency Starving Goat Rescue

We found out about a local backyard butcher and went to investigate. The first thing that hit us was the stench; this place was so filthy that we almost threw up. The animals were given no hay, grass or grain; instead, the only thing they had to eat was a bathtub of rotten tomatoes. Blended in with the ground, barely breathing we saw the emaciated, starving, sick and weak animals who are suffering tremendously.

We are currently working with local authorities to improve conditions at this place and while we work on setting things right over there we are bringing home the sickest animals to The Gentle Barn to save their lives.
